(15 ounce) can chickpeas*
rinsed and drained

frozen peas
thawed

good-quality tahini

cold water
or more if needed

extra virgin olive oil

freshly-squeezed lemon juice

teaspoon
each: black pepper and ground cumin

teaspoon
fine sea salt

medium garlic cloves
peeled and smashed

medium fresh mint leaves
to taste
Instructions
Blend.
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Purée for 2 minutes or until smooth, pausing to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Season.
Taste and season with additional salt, lemon juice and/or mint if needed.
Serve.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
