Skinny Margarita

This skinny margarita recipe is lightened up with fresh orange juice and always tastes so delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces tequila blanco
- 1 1/2 ounce freshly-squeezed orange juice
- 1 ounce freshly-squeezed lime juice
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)
- ice
- lime wedge, for garnish
Instructions
- Salt the rim (optional). Run a lime wedge (the juicy part) around the top rim of your serving glass. Fill a shallow bowl or plate with salt and/or Tajín, then dip the rim until it is covered with your desired amount of salt. Set aside.
- Make the margarita mix. Add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and a few ice cubes to a cocktail shaker. Shake or stir vigorously for about 10 seconds to chill. Give the mix a quick taste and stir in your desired amount of agave if you would like a sweeter drink.
- Serve. Fill the prepared serving glass with ice. Strain in the margarita mix, garnish with a lime slice, serve and enjoy. Cheers!

Love the fresh fruit in these, they look amazing!!! Is it 5PM yet??
Obsessing over the skinny margarita bar! I often make a skinny marg with crystal light for a short cut but I am in love with this for entertaining purposes!
I love fresh fruit summer-time drinks – perfect! Love the “skinny” spin, too. Julie is awesome, I agree!
Beautiful margaritas and GORGEOUS photos!!
YUM!! These look like the perfect accessory to a hot summer day. I love that they are skinny too!
Omg! I’m so thirsty now! Amazing idea! A great recipe for this summer :)
I love pureeing watermelon into cocktails – it just screams summer. Love meeting your friend!
I am loving this!! I think I just found a new signature summer cocktail. :)
I tried this over the weekend (maybe from an older post?) and I WAS lacking something! Splash of water sounds worth a try….also I had to make 2 servings and transport them so I think it also lacked the salt around the rim. Looking forward to trying them again!
I do love a good margarita and this skinny version sounds even more delicious than proper margaritas. Using fresh orange juice in there sounds like a great idea – will be making these asap!
