Many of you longtime followers know that I’m not a big believer in “recipes” when it comes to smoothies. My method of choice is always “a little of this, a little of that”, usually based on whatever fresh produce happens to be hanging around my house.

But a smoothie I made this week happened to be exceptionally tasty. So I decided to snap a quick pic and share it with you all.

It’s basically a simple pineapple smoothie, featuring some healthy Greek yogurt, banana, and my favorite smoothie ingredient — fresh ginger! All in all a delicious, light, and wonderfully fresh tasting citrus smoothie. Feel free to substitute in your favorite citrus fruits, but I happen to be partial to my beloved piña. So pineapple it is for me! Enjoy!!

I’m off sugar…so I will nix the flavored yogurt and use plain. But if I use a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder I think i will be on to something!

I’m a big fun of “a little of this, a little of that” recipes as well. And I’ll try your shake since you say it’s so special :)

Found this via Pinterest and am trying to get more ginger into my world. So I made this smoothie to go with supper tonight…yum! My picky teenaged daughters thought I had done something crazy with ginger ale, they drank it right up and loved it! Delicious and healthy and different (but a good different)! Thanks!

Did you go with the water or the pineapple juice? Plain or vanilla Greek? I would love to also try this for my kids.

Oh wow that looks tasty. I’m fan of the “a little of this, a little of that” approach to smoothies too, but thanks for jotting this one down. Mmmm.

This looks fantastic! I’ll definitely have to try it…I always end up just throwing random things into smoothies and sometimes that works better than others. :) Would love to try an actual recipe.
