This easy strawberry sangria recipe is the perfect make-ahead drink for summer parties, picnics, and warm evenings on the patio.

Strawberry season calls for a batch of fresh strawberry sangria! ♡
This refreshing drink is the perfect way to make the most of those sweet, juicy, beautiful berries. Made with crisp white wine, citrus slices and a splash of orange liqueur, this sangria is perfectly refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. It only takes a few minutes to slice and stir everything together. Then after a few hours chilling in the fridge so that all of the flavors can mingle, a gorgeous pitcher will be ready to enjoy.
Whether you’re hosting friends or just want a fun excuse to enjoy the season’s best fruit, this strawberry sangria is always a good idea. Let’s make a batch!

Strawberry Sangria Ingredients
Here are a few quick notes about the ingredients you will need to make this strawberry sangria recipe:
- Dry white wine: I recommend a mid-priced, crisp, dry white wine here to provide a refreshing, citrusy base for the sangria. A Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Albariño or Verdejo would be great!
- Strawberries: Fresh strawberries add juicy sweetness and vibrant red color to the drink. Feel free to use a few fresh strawberries as garnish too.
- Citrus: Fresh citrus slices bring a burst of brightness to the sangria, with the sweetness of orange and the tart zing of lemon. I prefer cutting the slices into quarters, but feel free to add them however you prefer.
- Orange liqueur: Orange liqueur, such as Cointreau, deepens the citrus profile and adds a touch of warmth and complexity.
- Simple syrup: A splash of simple syrup sweetens the sangria just enough without overpowering it. That said, feel free to add more if you prefer a sweeter drink.
- Club soda (or sparkling water): A generous splash of club soda or sparkling water keeps the drink light, fizzy, and extra refreshing. Be sure to always add just before serving so that it stays nice and bubbly.

Recipe Variations
Here are a few other variations that you could try with this strawberry sangria recipe:
- Swap in rosé or orange wine. Swap the white wine for a bottle of dry rosé or orange wine.
- Add basil. Add a handful of fresh basil leaves for an herby twist that complements the sweetness of the strawberries.
- Add extra fruit. Add additional berries, kiwi, mango or peach to go with the strawberries.
- Make it frozen. Use frozen strawberries and blend the sangria with ice to make frozen strawberry sangria.

Love making sangria from cheap wine! This one looks especially delicious.
We are going “Fruity” on the Forth! We will add this to our menu! I love that this has honey in it.
What a gorgeous and delicious summer drink! I agree with you, cheap wines work so well in Sangria because they are just going to mixed with honey and fresh fruit anyway! You seriously take the prettiest photos, too.
